FAME Guests at ANC Future Perfect
FAME Guests at ANC Future Perfect | Homer Nievera | Back in June 2015, a company that developed a small form transponder for use by fishing vessels, small seacraft, and general aviation aircraft was among ten startups given seed funding by tech incubator Ideaspace Foundation.
The company is called FAME (Futuristic Aviation and Maritime Enterprise). FAME developed its LORA (Low Range Network Transponder) as an extra layer of safety for pilots and sea captains and to help monitor air and sea traffic.
While it’s currently in commercial use the LORA transponder might just become useful, in tracking not-so-friendly aircraft and naval vessels in the Philippines’ disputed maritime backyard.
We’ll find out more about the FAME LORA transponder from its inventor Junjun Fetizanan, CEO of FAME Incorporated.
